The Chicago-based Lincoln Clean Energy announced Wednesday it has financed a wind farm project in Lynn County, south of Lubbock in West Texas.

GE Renewable Energy will provide 120 turbines for the 300 megawatt wind farm. (One megawatt is enough to power 200 homes on a hot Texas day.) Lincoln, which also has offices in Austin, has developed more than 1,800 megawatts of renewable energy projects in California, New Jersey and Texas

Lincoln also developed a West Texas wind farm in Scurry County that sells 90 percent of its power to Amazon.
