Australians know they have to do something about the energy use as the price of electricity is just skyrocketing beyond what anyone could ever imagine, just 2-years ago, this would have been Unthinkable. $2.30 for a litre of unleaded petrol, $6 cappuccinos, and $7 lettuces.
We’ve even had unscrupulous energy companies suggesting customers go elsewhere, and leave their business. Many have said they did this because they wanted the opportunity for the customer to no longer be on their books, so they no longer have to bleed money servicing these customers.
The number of people out there in Australia looking to buy solar systems, or expand on to the existing systems that they already have is quite remarkable. The solar market is even having many tenants and landlords working together in order to get a solar system for their property. This practice is absolutely unheard of in previous years. However, this is not at all surprising given that the rents have increased on average $100 per week during this time period. Perhaps many would look at it and say, “Well that’s the least that they could do!”
So while there is a feeding frenzy in the Solar market, you’d expect it to be busy everywhere, but all reports are saying that it’s only the cheaper solar companies cleaning up all the work and taking all the deposits.
10kw Solar system installations are popular in Brisbane.
All the buyers know they need to get solar power for their homes, and they also have full intention of buying solar panels, however, they are also the same people buying the $7 lettuces, paying mortgages with heightened interest rates, and filling up their V8’s that they drive on the way to the local coffee shop. They think twice about getting quality solar panels over a bill-busting bargain.
“I’VE DONE SO MANY QUOTES TO LOCAL BRISBANE SOLAR BUYERS OVER THE LAST 2 MONTHS.
THEY ALL CALL YOU UP SAYING THEY WANT A SOLAR SYSTEM, AND THEN THEY START RATTLING ON ABOUT HOW THEY ABSOLUTELY ONLY BUY QUALITY.
THEY TELL YOU THAT THEY WILL LIKELY CALL YOU TOMORROW WITH THE GREEN LIGHT AFTER TALKING TO THE MINISTER OF FINANCES IN THE HOUSEHOLD, ONLY FOR THAT CALL TO NEVER COME.
I CALL THEM UP 2 WEEKS LATER, HAVE A BIT OF FUN WITH THEM, AND YOU ASK THEM WHAT HAPPENED? OH SCARY TIMES AHEAD THEY SAY, WE FOUND A BIT CHEAPER.
YOU KNOW WHAT THEY’VE DONE, CHEAP BRANDS, NEW TO AUSTRALIA. HISTORY REPEATS, THEY’VE BOUGHT THEMSELVES AN ABSOLUTE SEPTIC TANK OF A SYSTEM!’
Says Daniel Jarrett, C.E.O of Queensland Solar & Lighting, who has been selling solar systems in Brisbane for over 10 years now.
Many people are also stating their intentions of soon buying an EV as their next family car. EV Sales in Australia have also boomed this year as a result of the energy crisis.
Batteries for Solar systems in Australia are also on the rise. The price of a Tesla Powerwall installed on the East Coast of Australia has risen to over $18,000 in recent weeks also. This has not seen demand wane at all.
The future of sustainable energy in Australia is bright. Australians are finally waking up to how great solar power can be, and how badly we need to fight climate change.
